Luxury no longer needs to announce itself. It is recognised in a precise junction, a handle whose weight has been considered, a finish that reveals the maker’s hand in light, or a stone selected for what it will become in twenty years.

This restraint is not an absence. It demands greater rigour: fewer signs, more substance; fewer effects, greater permanence.

A high-end residence becomes credible once everything that can be removed has been removed. What remains must then be impeccable.
